Set Sale Pop-up Experience

For one week in October, we staged a maritime takeover inside a Boxpark shipping container. Taking the origins of the container as the basis of our theme, the public were invited to join us in crafting a vast paper based sea-scape installation. Making items such as birds, boats and shipping containers, allowing them to leave their mark on the work, we wanted to encourage a new form of interactive narrative story telling, using craft skills to collaboratively improvise and explore the imagination. We asked the public to think ‘inside the box’ and take part in talks and workshops from other creative contributors, all with a marine theme. 

We curated a shop, rented props and sourced products, all with a nautical theme, and produced a range of illustrated products for sale in the pop-up shop, including: cards, prints, gift tags and notebooks. 

We hosted a launch event, sponsored by Sailor Jerry’s Rum, a dress-up photoframe and entertainment from the City Shanty Band.
